UU Chalice by Inga Johannesen, UU Church of Chattanooga, TNIn this episode, Roy Goodman shares his spiritual journey from Judaism to atheism. Roy’s views were shaped by the shadow of the Holocaust; the apartheid of South Africa, where he was born and grew up; and Israel, where he attended college.

Places stir Roy’s sense of awe at the universe and life, and he finds meaning in connection and relationship. Interestingly, Roy ascribes evil to a lack of connection — particularly when it springs from the belief that my truth is better than your truth.

My conversation with Roy lasts just under an hour. Listen using the above audio player or you may download the mp3 file here. You may also listen and subscribe to the podcast via iTunes here.
